About The Artwork
This artwork belongs to a series of reliefs called Circle of Life, which follows my painting based on abstract calligraphy and an interest in Eastern philosophy and lifestyle. The original handcrafted circles represent the connection of perfection in this infinite shape with the ideology of Wabi-sabi. In Japanese culture, which inspired this creation, the circle carries profound symbolism and significantly influences various aspects of life. The concentrated work with a clay, the calmness, and the duration of the production process fulfil the thoughts of this symbol into the object itself. Similar to the calligraphic form of Ensō representing the constant Cicle of Life and countless possibilities for the future. Every piece is burn twice time at high temperatures, the surface is hand painted with professional fired pigments and then finished using a mixture of organic wax and nature oil on the surface. A leather hanging cord in the color of the circle is also part of the delivery.
