Circus Tent Sculpture - Limited Edition of 5

Materials: Acrylic One (polymeric gypsum), fiberglass, rebar, pulley. This sculpture was modelled in clay and then cast in Acrylic One, a strong and light weighted material. By mixing this material with cement and black pigment, I made to look like concrete. This relief is part of a series of works that explore the relationship between body and architecture, imagining the merging of the two, by which the industrial materials become alive, almost organic, and at the same time the body is captured and fossilized by the materials and form.
