„Clouds in the sky” is a sculpture made by direct cutting in walnut wood. It is part of the „ Fragmented Intersections ” series . This work, like all in this series, are inspired by nature in an abstract geometric approach ,I worked in wood to help me with the warmth and natural organicity of wood in defining the message of tenderness, beauty of nature. In my artistic concerns, I follow the artist's experience in relation to various external factors, but especially internal ones. The psyche of the artist at the moment when he works on the sculpture. In the end, it's about the fear of the future, those sharp clouds that pierce the everyday but compositionally placed in a calm positive disposition, giving hope for what's to come.

It's hard to say that Dan Jula is a young artist at 46 years old, but that's the truth. He started sculpting in 2018 when he found in it a way to balance his life, his psyche, then he understood that this was what he sought to do all his life. For me, art is a therapy and sculpture in particular is a way of expressing the experiences of the moment. By sculpting, I manage to balance my psyche, to reproduce in three dimensions the power of thoughts and life .The artistic expression often does not matter as the physical form under which it appears, it can be aesthetically ugly, but its value must be in the soul and mind of the one who makes it and transpose it to the soul and mind of the viewer. The anatomy of the sculptor's psyche is entirely included in the anatomy of his sculpture. I work in wood because wood, in its effective, organic materiality, offers a warmth, a personal experience of the material, but also for the characteristic of its easy and responsive conformation in processing. As a technique, carving gives you the opportunity to start from scratch with the material in a definitive gesture to reveal the content, in this way a parallel is made between the life that exists but must be processed, revived. The piece of wood allows the sculptor, as through successive cuts, and by means of some tools, to give substance to the form he is aiming for. Direct cutting is a brutal attack, but above all definitive, it leaves no room for error, any piece removed from the block is removed forever, this is in accordance with the psychic imbalances that can occur in a person's life. A special motivational note of all my works is given by the use of fine arts as a therapy meant to help both the artist and the viewer to find an inner energy balance
