Sculpture: Wood on Wood.
This series of 3D work based on 12mm plywood owes its inspiration to Dutch geometric artist Piet Mondrian who also completed lozenge-shapes work. the De Stijl art movement and group, which was founded by Theo van Doesburg. Mondrian evolved a non-representational form which he termed neoplasticism. This consisted of white ground, upon which he painted a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the three primary colors. My series of 3D geometric work also used primary colours. Created in 2014.
