Olga Myltseva is a figurative sculptor and ceramist whose work explores the depth of human archetypes and emotions through the timeless medium of fired clay. Born in Leningrad in 1973, she is currently based in Belgrade, Serbia, where she continues to push the boundaries of ceramic art. Self-taught and deeply committed to her craft, Myltseva discovered ceramics in 2015, drawn to its plasticity, expressive potential, and the interplay of color and form. Her artistic practice is rooted in continuous experimentation with materials, exploring various techniques and styles to best convey the essence of her subjects. Fascinated by narrative and symbolism, she often works in series, creating interconnected pieces that tell compelling visual stories. Whether depicting human figures or anthropomorphic animals, her sculptures exude a unique presence—imbued with character, emotion, and an invisible yet powerful human connection. “In porcelain and ceramic works, I feel my deep philosophy. A very fragile, yet completely timeless material makes you think about the fragility and beauty of our lives…” Materials & Techniques • Ceramics, porcelain, glazes • Multi-fired sculptures (up to 1250°C) • Hand-built and meticulously detailed surfaces
