Corteggiamento Sculpture

Hand-made sculpture on Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. The artist wanted to call this work "Corteggiamento", a courtship of nature: the vital beauty of every being creates a play of forms as if it were a dance, the softness of the forms gives a sense of freedom, a desire to express their instincts without restraint. The processing of this work is carried out entirely by hand on this stone which is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, or in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back to several million years ago, makes it suitable for processing details. The sculpture "Corteggiamento" like every work of Andrea Serra, being hand-sculpted, is unique and signed in etching by the artist.
