About The Artwork
This silver brazed mandala is made with recycled bicycle rotors and a crow skull. Not many artist use rotors for their work and the crow skull with a single speed cog is preserved in half a sphere of resin. It has been the first mandala I have created and its really outstanding against any dark or bare brick surface. the dimensions in cm are 54cmx54cmx6cm

Beauty can not be separated from the tapestry of daily life. In some cultures art was produced by artisans and was enjoyed in everyday use. Skulls and classic bicycles are some of this objects that can irradiate within their structure atractive lines to the human eye. I would define my work as creating symbols with this upcycled items I find in the streets of Bristol or foraging in the forest of the South West and Wales.
