About The Artwork

The art piece was inspired by Daedalus the mythical Greek inventor, architect, and sculptor who was said to have built, among other things, the paradigmatic Labyrinth to lock up the MInotaur. Daedalus fashioned wings of wax and feathers for himself and for Icarus and escaped. Icarus, however, flew too near the Sun, his wings melted, and he fell into the sea and drowned. The artist is currently working on an art piece of Icarus that will be presented soon.
