The steel sculptures are assembled from new and found material. They are fusion welded together using gas and arc welding processes. The figurative theme explores my interest in classical proportion but is primarily intended as a vehicle to exploit the various qualities of the material. Steel is a tensile material that I use to create thrust and delineate form in the manner of a charcoal drawing.
