Inspired by a Richard Brautigan story in which there where sculptures of potato's and carrots. Why not a dancing onion? Sculpture is a wind driven kinetic welded metal construction, base & onion bulb are stainless steel, the leaves are aluminum. The piece is balanced with the weight below the center of gravity. The wind spins the sculpture and moves it left and right and back and forth and it looks like its dancing, but only when the wind blows.

I was born and raised in the panhandle of west Texas ( the Llano Estacado) where I now live. I started making welded metal sculpture after taking a welding course. Making sculpture was a hobby until I began to consign my work for sale in galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have exhibited in galleries all over the southwest. I consider myself a self-taught sculptor, but I did have some art education. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9lQAkXrmQSVHFhjS0pv_6w
