ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My long experience with daylight art in architecture and in sculpture has resulted in a number of light objects, created in close collaboration with Peter van IJperen designer from Amstelveen in the Netherlands. A colored borderless diffused image glows at the front. The image arises out of daylight, entering through a white translucent screen at the back. Inside a transparent colored painting and mirrors transform the light. The transformed daylight is projected onto a translucent white screen at the front. Variations in the daylight create a mysterious living picture.

In my projects with daylight art in architecture, I seek out, in close collaboration with the architect, the places where the inflowing light can be intercepted and transformed. In my sculptures, light images appear changing according to the time of day and season. To reflect the essence of my work: "˜Becoming aware of light as part of the universe' I use my drawings as research for my 3-D work, exploring Light.
