ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The piece "Desire" is carved in Gleditsia Triacanthos wood, which despite its little known name, is a tree that can be seen in all cities of the world for its ornamental use. Its wood, very hard and beautiful, usually has yellowish tones, which distinguish it from other more common types of wood. Despite its great beauty, it is very delicate to work with, as it tends to generate cracks, which are sometimes difficult to resolve. With his name and his gesture I want to express a longing for ascension and hope.
