About The Artwork
This sculpture is the face of an aging man whose changes are irreversible. The waning crescent moon above his head symbolizes the passing of life. The whirlpool inside the head is painted in gradient colors from turquoise to black, at the bottom of the whirlpool is the sinking boat of the fading mind. The sculpture is made of stoneware and partially covered with glazes.
