Double Guitar Sculpture

Michelangelo Batio, the legendary Rock Guitarist from Chicago invented an electric Double Guitar.The sculpture is a collage of associations of feminity, rock´n roll, agression, triumph , sexuality, dancing extasy and lethality. Based on the illustration of the female body, I have developed a canon of shapes that transforms anatomical details to describe plastically feelings such as self-confidence, erotic, composure, heaviness, lightness. As a result, existing beauty ideals like the little girl-like craze to be skinny, which the media outlets would like us to believe to be the common beauty ideal, are re-examined. I hope, that my idealisation of the corpulent female body could encourage any women to develop her own potential without beeing demoralized from the common scinny beauty ideal. I find it interesting to create a realistic image of the unrealistic and invisible like feelings and emotions through the female body.
