About The Artwork
Continues the fictional story of small-scale humans and appropriately large-scale insects. The mighty dung beetle is equipped with sophisticated mapping techniques and uses the sun and moon to navigate his brood ball to the brood den. By standing on top of the ball and rotating its direction he uses the planets and stars to navigate his pathway. This is the first dung ball and I have used full artistic license to create an organic perforated sphere that bares little resemblance to the typical dung ball.
