Easy Edges Sculpture

Unlike most of my pieces formed from mesquite burls, this is even a more unique bowl. It was created from wood located at the confluence of a main limb and four smaller branches. After an examination and study of the piece, I decided to accentuate its uniqueness by retaining and rounding all limbs. Finished areas of the bowl were sanded to 2000 grit and finished with three coats of hand rubbed natural oil. The bowl cavity was positioned and sized to be both functional and aesthetic. An area on top was smoothed and a recess was made to hold a salsa dish. Use this large bowl to hold chips and salsa, or fruit and vegetables. The bowl makes a big statement as a center piece on a dining table, or locate it in another prime interior location in your home decor. Salsa dish not included.
