This work belongs to the series Echoes of Past Eras. The works in this series illustrate the relentless passage of time and the transformations it brings. To express my ideas on canvas, I use the aesthetics of a cultural period between the 19th and 20th centuries called Decadence. It hints at the destroyed world, the decline and the prevailing mood of modern society. The drama of our contemporary world is palpable, as if something fundamental has broken. We stand on the brink of changes that are yet to be fully understood, but their presence is already in the air. This raises concerns about the future. I aimed to capture this delicate balance between past and present, eloquently expressed through the juxtaposition of classical and modern elements. The "Echoes of Past Eras" series consists of visually arresting works, rich in texture, depth, and historical resonance. The past illuminates subtle shifts, revealing how swiftly everything transforms, and reminds us that we are active participants in these changes.

Artist Statement My art is a reflection of the nerve of the era (zeitgeist). It rethinks the complex processes of searching for a new world order through social and military crises. The prematurely proclaimed “end of history” did not happen, the “grand narratives” returned and changed our ideas about the world - it is now seen as unpredictable and unreliable. The philosophical paradigm of our time is in a state of oscillation and simultaneity between the opposing aspects of the cultural codes of previous eras and modernity. We find ourselves at the intersection of the collapse of the old and the construction of a new world. The interdisciplinary approach of the metamodernist artist allows me to observe this transition and explore it comprehensively from the point of view of my constant interests: politics, psychology, sociology, futurology. That is why my art creates tension and conflict, while simultaneously showing a way out of it through a combination of contrasting phenomena: destruction and creation, clarity and ambiguity, irony and sincerity, relativism and the need to make choices. My visual language is expressed predominantly by a black and white palette and non-artistic industrial materials embedded in the space of the canvas. These are no longer paintings, but not yet sculptures. Broken elements of antique style, baroque, gothic are conceptually associated with the wreckage of today's world, and visually refer us to eternity - archeology, making my works commentaries on it. The practice of mixed media transfers tension from the real world into art, where bridging the distance between them allows us to recreate a sense of wholeness. This is how I transform postmodern deconstructivism into harmonious constructivism, offering the viewer a new vision of the world with positive scenarios.
