Two hands that come close without touching each other, without coming into physical contact, but touching each other in the extreme attempt to get to know each other. Recognize one's own wounds, fractures, deep cracks which, instead of being an impediment to reaching out towards the other, allow one to stretch beyond the space trying to become like the other, not simply understand or sympathize with him, but acquire the condition of others realizing it as if one were experiencing it firsthand. The sculpture "Empathy" wants to propose a reflection on possible ways to explore to get in touch with the other, contact not to invade the vital space, but with a deep understanding of the fractures of the soul of the one who is in front of us, which actually shows us, as a mirror, our frailties.

Born in Legnano (Italy) in 1963, the author is an Italian painter and sculptor who lives and creates in Inveruno (Italy). Despite having embarked on a course of technical-scientific studies that have led him to achieve brilliant results as a manager in important companies operating in the design of new technologies, he has always dedicated a large part of his creative energies to artistic activities. Initially directed to the musical and literary genre, also with regard to the passion for photography and thanks to the teachings of his father Eugenio, he transposed his artistic research into the pictorial field, initially painting according to the dictates of the Impressionist trend, then moving into an Abstract and Conceptual, enhancing its major expressive stimuli. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and national art competitions, in which he has obtained a good response from critics and the public, as well as flattering awards. In the last year, the artistic vein finds a further expressive modality in sculpture, a world certainly more demanding than painting, but which offers hitherto unexplored and highly satisfying additive sensorialities. In each work the commitment is always maximum in offering an "emotional key" to be used in self-discovery: the work of art understood as a means and not as an end. Recently, some works have been brought together in a virtual place where it is possible to have an organic vision of the artistic utopia of a man who does not care about the market and who never stops looking at the world with the clarity of the closed eyes of a child smiles.
