About The Artwork

“Nothing to celebrate ... From a sordid extract of Human Condition, the head like a slit exposes us to a “spectrum”, it trim these men of power. The Bust, all of it, linked to the tradition of the art of portraiture, does not ignore the major function, of expressing the nuances of the moods, which in a master way, gains notoriety, as it forges, in the muscles the possibility of participating in the external life with others: "... this muscular tension, carefully modeled," in the "technical" manner of a virtuoso, as if to prove a pseudo good intention " However, the noise of this piece resides and reveals that not a head is, but rather, the possession of the form from the clay .; what matters is less the form, less the invoice, less the materiality, all of which are subordinated to the miserable intensity of revealing oneself, approaching an orgasmic and obscene shamelessness, which transpires in the clearly abject and transgressive conduct of lowering the mask ... of the masks; “... muscle retention that includes tension and energy, in contrast to the toothless gum, in which the loss of the only apparent bone structure of the body is noted, and where, we are seen to soften the figure - a contrast between tension and drain- “ Only babies and old people - the toothless - the mouth is so natural In this case, there are no babies or old people, there is a smile from a harlot, a servant from the worst of all worlds, ... ” Psychologically and permanently childish, finally, the mask connects this “umbralino” with our world, it is the only “thing” in this world, like a lowered panties, it reveals itself not as a mask; “... it has the crown ... but how can a king live there? Sign of nobility, in the possible human realization ... maybe a fool, a jester, unfortunate and depressing " Strangely, in the post-mask look, the echo of a similar statuary is exposed, perfectly seated at the beginning of the elaboration of what would become the celebrated Modernity {smile of Voltaire's reason} which proved hopeless as well translated Walter Benjamin.
