Art Description

Sculpture: Wood, Airbrush, Engraving, Woodcut, 3D Sculpting on Wood, Other.

In this artwork I wanted to show the loneliness of the modern human in search of his identity, I am talking about the defense mechanism which developed by human for survival against the fake faces from First age till now. All the false facts that supposed to be real reveal mental disorders of human during their maturation period. The fact that human’s war with these fake faces in the triangle of birth, life and death is not over, it is just the beginning for her/him to understand the essence of his identity. The person in the fetal position at the center feels lonely against the fake faces with masks which surrounded her/him.
Wooden plywoods of different sizes were wetted in hot water with the traditional technique and hand-shaped in order to take its original form in the drying stage. Each piece therefore has different flexibility. I used gold foils and black patina.
