Feelings Sculpture

AM WAHEED ARIYO ,A NATIVE OF OYO STATE, NIGERIA. I WAS BORN INTO A YORUBA FAMILY on 31/12/ 1993. I had my primary education at comfordia child institute, bodija, Ibadan. I also attended saint anthony secondary school, ijaye, Lagos. Initially, art was my best hubby but I picked it up as a career after my secondary education. I enrolled as a beginner at visual institute of art, queen Elizabeth road, adamasingba stadium, Ibadan. I had a 2yrs course in "Introduction to art and design". I further more my art career by applying as an art student In one of the best popular african contemporary art studio in the National theater, ( universal studio of art.). After my admission has been considered in July, 2014 by the authority, I specializes my art career as a sculptor. I rounded up my sculptural program in universal studio of art in 2016. Am know working as a full-time studio artist. Artist Statement: A contemporary sculptor exploring creative movement through the manipulation of naturalistic forms. Embracing flexibility and the twisting of shapes, my work defines a realm where my creative abilities thrive. By observing geometric principles and extracting creative shapes from natural forms, I have developed a self-study I call "Extracted Form." These extracted shapes serve as metaphors, highlighting inherent potentials. The core concept driving my creativity is the belief that art serves as a conversation of potentials within a creative realm, leading to the restoration of humanity's lost dignities in cultural, social, and other human contexts.
