Figuration (Black Series) Sculpture

As an artist, I thought how many ways could I play with lines? Our human mind is strangely satisfied when we are able to distinguish a certain rhythm through repetitive patterns. I find it very important to bring out that sense of gratification from repetition to the viewer through the use of geometric line placement in my work. Using inviting geometric patterns, monochromatic tones and a natural material such as wood keeps the artwork at the most basic level of structure. Creating movement by using lines, a basic element of art that allows the eyes to be pulled into different directions. I continue to explore the simplicity of geometry that is inviting and balanced, not overwhelming. I allow my instincts and intuition to take over with each piece, letting the laws of geometry to take over.
