Amateur Artist. Kostas was born in 1951. He finished the Hellenic Naval Academy as Bridge Officer and has been assigned many years on war ships. Studied Computer Science in NPGS university, Monterey CA, USA, from 1984-1986 and got his Master Degree in 1986. During his position in NATO SHAPE HQ in Belgium he attended lessons on assemblage and collage. He retired from the Navy on APR 1997. After that, he spent 16 years in the private sector as a Computer Science specialist. At the same time, he indulges himself in various expressions of art, like mixed media, sculpture, painting, recycle art and design. Sculpture and painting, give him the ability to grasp parts of the divine immateriality that surrounds us. A medium to project memories, comment on the present, fantasize the things to come. He uses as materials, everyday objects, wood, metal, glass, plastic and a variety of recyclable elements, with their own stories, and transforms them into constructions, collages and works of wall art, assigning to them a new interpretation and re-presentation. The finished piece is then mounted on a wood panel.
