About The Artwork

I had spent a while fantasising about making a piece of string art from my own personal photography from travelling, I felt like I had finessed my skills with portrait work and I really wanted to test myself and set myself a new challenge by working on a piece that was of a landscape/cityscape. As soon as I took this picture in Lisbon, I knew it was something I wanted to attempt to string. I love the way the sunset bounces off the walls and I really wanted to try to recreate that same feeling and warmth I got from standing in that spot. Whenever I travel anywhere, I'm constantly looking to improve on my photography skills so that I can then translate them into my artwork. Upon completing this piece, the sense of accomplishment I felt was like no other. I had set myself a huge challenge, and I really feel like I delivered on that. I like using reclaimed wood as I feel like I'm giving something back and extending the life of disused materials, giving them a second life. String Art is my passion, it's something that I can lose my mind in and I love challenging myself to try new thing and I'm always pushing myself to do better. During the creation of this piece, the reclaimed wood has warped slightly and the piece doesn't sit completely flat against a wall.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Taking inspiration from my own personal admirations and travels, I aim to create a rich tapestry of feelings and wonder both within the artwork and your mind. Each piece of subtly modelled art work is seen as a device for progression, to test and explore the dimensions of the materials I am working with, using locally sourced and reclaimed wood as a raw natural canvas. I enjoy developing a sense of depth through careful toning and layering to ensure that your eye will notice different details as you move around a room, creating your own aesthetic narrative.
