This technique does indeed use hairs from horses; the idea is to burn the hairs on the pot's surface to create lines. As hair is laid upon glowing hot pots straight from the kiln, they sear onto the pot's surface and will leave localized carbon markings. My ceramics are made with love and beauty of natural materials with their harmonized symbiosis which can be perfectly combined with either bohemian or modern design. They will bring or add originality, peculiarly and uniqueness to any interior style. Items from SevaCeramics are exclusive and unique what make them central piece in any interior. Dimensions: Diameter 8" High 6 1/2" with wood part 14" Original and artful ceramics from SevaCeramics are absolutely handmade.

Natalya Sevastyanova is a contemporary ceramic artist based in Los Angeles. Raised amidst the vast landscapes of the Ural Mountains in Russia, her surroundings have always been a source of inspiration. Beginning her artistic journey as a muralist and animator, Natalya furthered her education with an M.F.A. in Architecture Design from the Academy of Architecture and Arts in Yekaterinburg, Russia and Santa Monica College, CA. After spending several years in these fields, Natalya felt a strong pull towards working with tactile mediums. Since 2013, clay has been her chosen medium, allowing her to bring the essence of nature's wildness into the homes of her clients. Natalya's portfolio has evolved over time, moving from pottery tableware to teapot ceremony sets, and she now focuses on creating wall sculpture installations. Her artwork has been sold internationally and exhibited in art galleries, residential, and commercial spaces across Los Angeles and various states in the U.S. under the name SevaCeramics. Currently, Natalya Sevastyanova operates from her private studio, where she dedicates her time to creating ceramic arts.
