Natalya is a Los Angeles-based ceramic artist with a background in architectural design and animation. Raised near the vast forests of the Ural Mountains, she draws inspiration from the organic forms and natural rhythms of her surroundings, translating them into striking, large-scale ceramic installations. Her work bridges the gap between nature and modern interiors, bringing movement, texture, and a sense of fluidity to contemporary spaces. Natalya holds an M.F.A. in Architectural Design from the Academy of Architecture and Arts in Ekaterinburg, Russia, and a Certificate in 2D and 3D Animation from the Academy of Entertainment & Technology in Santa Monica. Before fully dedicating herself to ceramics, she worked as a mural artist and 2D animator, experiences that continue to inform her approach to spatial composition and surface design. Since founding SevaCeramics in 2014, Natalya has created site-specific ceramic installations for luxury hotels, hospitals, and high-end residences, with recent commissions including a large-scale installation for the Regent Santa Monica Beach Hotel, the Norman Regional Hospital Healing Garden, and multiple works at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas. Her pieces, often composed of hundreds or even thousands of individual ceramic elements, evoke the organic flow of water, wind, and botanical forms, fostering a connection between built environments and the natural world. Beyond commercial spaces, her installations are part of collections around the world, including private collections and residential interiors. She is currently working on hospitality projects for hotels, restaurants, and large-scale spaces, further expanding the presence of her work in architectural and design-driven environments. Her work has been exhibited at leading design fairs and galleries, including The Other Art Fair by Saatchi Art, WestEdge Design Fair, and The Studio Door Gallery in San Diego. Alongside her practice, she shares her expertise in ceramic firing techniques through workshops and teaching engagements, specializing in raku, obvara, and saggar firing methods. Her installations not only redefine ceramic art in contemporary interiors but also invite viewers to experience the tactile beauty of nature in a new way.
