ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Enveloped by winter's breath Her self seems frozen Life's soft glow seeps From within. A winter meditation on self, quiet currents within, contemplated mind, frost, snow and the stillness of the winter season. I used recycled plastic for the foundation of this sculpture, covered with plaster soaked cotton bandages, then built layers and layers of ceramic grout/calcium carbonate/latex mix until she softly breathed. Glorious texture, her skin is marvellously delicious. Weight approximately 10 pounds. Sealed with several layers of non-gloss acrylic sealer.
