ABOUT THE ARTWORK
As a conceptual piece this was made using a large offcut of wood from a previous artwork, brought together with a steel base and finished with a painted clay ball.When looking at this piece upon completion it reminded me of a competitor in Scotland's Highland Games sizing up the boulder they were going to lift in competition.
