London born and Swiss bred Interior Designer and Artist, Peter Smith is currently working and living in Switzerland. Most of his work has an urban London influence having lived there whilst he studied and graduated in Interior Design and where he discovered his love for street art and graffiti. "I really enjoy the physical act of spray painting an object, the quick pace and the free movement. I love using bold and bright colours and statements in my art, I guess inspired by many other street artists around the world. When I make sculptures I get the same uplifting sensation; again, it's the physical act of using a chainsaw or hammer and chisel on a piece of wood and turning it into a rough, almost primitive sculpture, yet with a relevant 21st century twist. The sculptures however are mostly influenced by my global travels, where I had amazing experiences staying with tribes and indigenous peoples and admiring their art".
