I reflect, therefore I think Sculpture

The sculpture was created as part of the Recycled Art exhibition that took place in Gatineau, Quebec, in 2018. It is made entirely from recycled suspension spring leafs and bicycle parts, with the exception of the stainless steel sphere. The motive behind the artwork was to create a sculpture that would inspire reflexion. When spectators get close to the sculpture, they see themselves and the world around them in the stainless steel sphere. They can reflect on their very own place in the environment. The wings were added, providing another level of reflexion. They represent men's desire for freedom but anchored to the ground, he can only reflect on his own situation. The sculpture is weather resistant and can stay outside all year.
