Marco Bottin was born in Padua, Italy, the 7th of December 1975. Between 1994 and 1995 he studies Cultural Anthropology at J.W.Goethe Universitaet in Frankfurt am Main. In 2005 he graduates in Philosophy at Venice University, writing a thesis in Economic Sociology upon the themes of gift and reciprocity. He works and lives in Padova. His artistic experience bears the sign of collision between symbolic content and destination of use in everyday forms and objects, thus pointing out to the desperateness of the human effort in finding a place and sense in society. Curious and premonitory objects come then to life, whose aesthetic perfection oozes their troubled existence. "Something is happening in human genesis in that the reproduction of the species seems to be secondary to goods production. In setting every his expectation in the act of possession, becomes man a sterile being, who charges the world of objects with such a symbolical weight that objects themselves revolt against him. Indicators of our social place, objects become an image of our prison, they get lively and come to life, they look at us at they tell about us: I try to voice them, dressing them with all torment and contrary that hide behind the confidence of their appearance, by knowing that the loss of certitude accompanying the transfigured object clashes with the last redeeming act possible, that of the victim becoming the headsman."
