About The Artwork
The INDRA Collection, created 2020. A tranche from a massive, fallen Texas Live Oak. Immortalized... A unique set of two movable pieces. One side of this exquisite wood is left in its natural state, polished to a sublimely sensual finish. The other sides undergo the Japanese charring technique of Yakisugi (or Shou-sugi-ban) elevating the grain's mystery and texture. Each half measures approximately 32"H x 15"W x 5"D (mounted to a solid metal base of 8"D that does allow tipping). Overall measurement when placed side-by-side is approx. 32ʺW × 8ʺD × 32ʺH.
