For questions and additional photos of works please use the "Contact" tab on my website. I am largely a self-taught artist, sketching from early childhood. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and spent my first 30 years there. Since then I have been very nomadic, living in Sweden, Norway, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, back to Florida many times, and now in Washington. Along the way I have visited over twenty five countries and have been inspired by all the sights and wonders each had to offer. Visiting major museums and cathedrals throughout Europe has certainly been a great source of inspiration. Like most artisans my day to day inspiration comes from the world around me and random ideas that come to mind. My career as a Kitchen and Bath Designer and Woodworker has allowed me to incorporate my love for art and allows me to create innovative and artistic projects. As a designer, I enjoy creating a new way of seeing things that others may not. As a woodworker, I'm constantly inventing and combining a host of materials and applications to construct something unique. My art is where these two identities merge. I consider myself a painter, mixed media artist, ceramic sculptor, and woodworker. Transforming the ordinary to the extraordinary is my passion. I am constantly pushing myself into new artistic frontiers. A perfect day in my studio would be developing a new medium, a new method of putting paint to canvas or creating a ceramic sculpture from a recent idea. I create for myself, from what's in my head and though the work may change many times during the process, I don't stop until I like what I see. My ultimate satisfaction is if you like what you see.
