Kingfishers Sculpture - Limited Edition of 12

This sculpture was inspired by kingfishers in flight which I have been able to observe and photograph in the Doñana national park, in the south of Spain where I live during much of the year. It is part of an exhibition I am preparing based on the animals which can be found in Doñana. The positioning of the two kingfishers allows the sculpture to be viewed from all angles without having a particular front or back. I choose bronze as my medium because it lasts for hundreds of years. I hope to express both colour and texture as well as the grace and elegance of kingfishers in flight.
