Arson Born in Paris in 1953 and hailing from a Niçoise family, Arson is a bold, free-spirited artist who defies convention. Trained at the Beaux-Arts from age 16, he mastered painting, architecture, pottery, and sculpture, developing a unique style infused with daring sensuality. Arson celebrates the human form, particularly the feminine, as a source of artistic inspiration. His works, influenced by Duchamp’s Dadaism and Magritte’s Surrealism, challenge viewers to see beyond the surface. Of his Esculmau, he declares: “This is not an ice cream, nor a form; it is an Esculmau.” A provocative visionary, Arson crafts raw, decorative sculptures that break taboos and spark imagination. His passion for materials and exploration of femininity disrupt conventional norms, creating a visual poetry that captivates and challenges.
