In my work I deal with light and space. For me, light is the factor that enables us to visually perceive our surroundings. So I try to make light atmospheres visible that develop independently of the space by using stylistic components sparingly. For this purpose, the ballpoint pen serves me as a unique drawing pen because its properties and unusual use enable it to implement this aspect in a reduced way. This form of alienation is also reflected in my sculptures, which consist exclusively of found objects. These forms, determined by nature, are worked on sparingly. Only the rotten material is removed. The object is then brought to completion through various filling, sanding and varnishing processes. The result is sculptures that are reminiscent of marble in their external appearance and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the original material. In my work, I explore the limits of the possibilities offered by materials and techniques - and in doing so, I develop a fascinating game: a game with perception, a game of optical illusion.
