Artist Statement Tapestry is an art form that brings warmth and comfort to homes, blending tradition with modernity. Its soft fabrics and intricate patterns breathe life into spaces, making them unique and meaningful. I am Raisa, an applied arts artist from Ukraine, now living and creating in San Francisco. In my work, I combine the traditions of textile art with contemporary ideas, turning each tapestry into a story woven with threads. My creations are inspired by nature, culture, and human emotions. I believe that tapestry art can not only beautify interiors but also bring a sense of harmony and warmth to our fast-paced world.
