About The Artwork
Lolly is a unique, one of a kind stand alone sculpture. It was produced in the winter of 2018 in my studio in LIC NY. My studio is situated equidistant between the studio of Mark Di Suvero ( of which I apprenticed for many years ago ) and the Isamu Noguchi Museum.....On the coldest days of that winter I would break the mental blocks my walking by both locations, thinking of how both of those great sculptors may have been experiencing the same feelings I was at that moment. After one such walk I returned to the studio and 'Lolly' sprang off the table....
