Jonas Åkerlund joined as Global Peace and Non-Violence Ambassador in 2011 and his sculpture "Love All" was exhibited for the first time at the Non-Violence For Peace Tour at the Swedish Open tennis championships in Båstad, Sweden. He’s a living legend in the music industry having directed promos for artists from Madonna and Maroon 5 to Rammstein and Metallica, although he’s perhaps most recognised for his award winning mini-cine epics Paparazzi and Telephone for Lady Gaga. In between making music videos he’s directed countless adverts but Small Apartments marks only his third foray into narrative feature film making – and even this was shot in only 20 days in a year where he also completed five music videos and over 30 commercials. The knotted gun ”Non-Violence” was originally created by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd as a memorial tribute to John Lennon after he was shot and killed in New York City in December 1980. The Non-Violence Project Foundation is a non-profit organization promoting peace and social change through education. Buying our Limited Edition sculptures, part of the revenues goes to the Non-Violence Project and will contribute to social change and bring more peace to the world. ”WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING THAT GOES ON” - John Lennon.
