ABOUT THE ARTWORK
During the Spring of 2020, the Covid-19 Shelter in Place meant I could not go to my two teaching jobs. After recovering from that deadly virus, I began carving in my front yard. I did this so that parents in my neighborhood would have a distraction for their children. They could go for a walk and have a free art class for their kids. Loving Kindness was the first sculpture created within this platform. It is inspired by the love and kindness shown neighbor to neighbor, friend to friend, and stranger to stranger. It was sold by auction and 25% of the proceeds were donated to charity. If you like this one, one more will be created soon.

It took 50 years for me to be in a place secure enough to create art. After a small bout of homelessness in my 20's, I focused on an income in the corporate world. Then the corporate world, unceremoniously, spit me out in 2008. I turned my love of dance into my next career. So much joy came from this, I then turned my attention to art. I have been creating and showing sculpture ever since. Each day I dance and create art is filled with joy! Each day I share what I know with others about dance and art is filled with even more joy.
