Part of the lips series, this stone sculpture celebrates the connection between math and art. The mouth is a Möbius strip. Red henna limestone [from Canada] with golden fossils make up the triangular base. There is a stainless steel rod imbedded that allows the mouth to turn to your desired position. The mouth is made of Texas Rattlesnake limestone and polished as fine as I could get. The stones ship separated. Sculpture weight (together) is 62 pounds, with estimated combined shipping weight of both boxes to be 105 pounds. Both stones are limestone and may be displayed outdoors or in. I am interested in why we do what we do and how thoughts progress. Since I was a child, I watched and touched and listened, trying to make sense of things. It was easy to feel the sadness of life, but also the yin and yang. So, I work to put beauty in front of us. I have been told that my work is “all over the map” but in my mind, everything is connected. I hope you enjoy your visit and will be enticed to view more of my work and writings. Thank you.
