Sculpture: Stone, Steel on Stainless Steel, Stone.
Part of the lips series, this stone sculpture celebrates the connection between math and art. The mouth is a Möbius strip. Red henna limestone [from Canada] with golden fossils make up the triangular base. There is a stainless steel rod imbedded that allows the mouth to turn to your desired position. The mouth is made of Texas Rattlesnake limestone and polished as fine as I could get. The stones ship separated. Sculpture weight (together) is 62 pounds, with estimated combined shipping weight of both boxes to be 105 pounds.
Both stones are limestone and may be displayed outdoors or in.
