"Mad As" ... a March Hare To celebrate the madness all around. A whimsical take on the amazing hare. Especially for my wonderful friend Dawn. After a month in psychiatric care, 20 years ago, I want to ensure the "Mad As " philosophy for the outside world, is what is fabulously required. Leading to the new concept of "H'abbits" Hares and rabbits together. Handmade in a beautiful French Studio. Width - 33 cms / 13 inches Height - 25 cms / 9.85 inches Depth - 20 cms / 7.9 inches (including whiskers and eyeliner) Weight - 0.38 kgs / 0.8 lbs She is as light as a hare. I remember being in a swimming pool in Morocco, declaring it was the air that made me cuddly, happy memories. "Mad as" came about with my lovely friend suggesting a hare. For me it seemed too small and finicky....little did I know it would launch a breeding ground for H'abbits. She represents the eccentricity we all need to celebrate. She will be shipped in a heavy duty, stiffened box, will all her features beautifully protected. Her very small back is felt covered to protect her and your wall. There is one inside metal plate fixing to hang her by.

Why do we love art so much? "Where we can find the whimsical magic that we lost as a child, and dare to reclaim as an adult." For a singular moment of time, it takes us away from today, to a place where our imagination can explore all possibilities. Jane takes a variety of mixed media and creates sculptural works that challenge the norm and celebrate the unique. After years of painting large abstract oils, she has shifted to a 3D medium. Where context, texture and vision join together to create experiences on all levels. Chicken wire, papier mache, plaster cloth, wall compound, 24ct gold leaf and lots of love provide an extravagant foundation medium. Plus, lots of magical additions – not to be shared. Each piece is completely bespoke, all are handmade, and take between 3 and 8 weeks to create. Who is Jane? Jane lives in the South of France, an area which encourages creativity, has amazing light and provides the perfect backdrop to all artforms. She is a real gypsy at heart, originally form the UK, and has lived in Dubai and France for the last 11 years. Not a real traveller though, as she certainly doesn't travel light. Paints and easels take up a lot of space. She has worked as a high end residential interior designer for over 20 years, with clients in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Her love of art, colour and texture was certainly inherited from her amazing mother, a true artist. Her love and joy of life are seen in all she creates. She has her own unique energy, which is lovingly shared to all those around her. Jane's life has been an amazingly rich tapestry, covering over 5 decades of learning, exploring and creating. Definitely "Unique in Every Way". Explore, Enjoy and Smile - it is only Art Explore, enjoy and create together.
