Mama Robin - bird sculpture with thread and paper Sculpture

The American Robins are my backyard friends. They inspire me to create art. It is hard to replicate the perfection of a Robin, so I go all out in exaggerating with thread and paper the feathers and wings of my feathered friends. Are you a bird lover? You may love a bird like this, you can hold it and perch it on your shoulder, it won't fly away on you. I was trained as a photographer and in drawing but I've become interested in textiles and have created 3D sculptures. My picture frame career probably helped with the tactile and building process.
