About The Artwork

The Organic works as I described in the metal sculptures were created from “random” drawings, which are not intended to represent something but simply arise from the unconscious, then these drawings are enlarged and laser cut in steel or aluminum, here I I cut it out of thick cardboard and mounted it on a foam board coated with Canson, with the help of glue and balsa wood. The cardboard pieces were hand cut and acrylic painted (Winsor&Newton paint), and given a high quality wooden frame, painted white, signed and dated on the back.

I was born in 1955, Sao Paulo, Brazil. I've studied sculpture in school of italian artists Calabrone and Beccheroni, ad worked in 84 with the sculptor Piero Moretti, but I consider myself a self taught in the technique of sculpture that I've chosen, cutting and folding parts of steel or aluminum .I have participated in last year in several exhibitions and had my dedicated work here in Brazil and I have works in several cities, New York, Miami ,San Francisco,Paris, Naples, Milan, Puta del Leste, Frankfurt, Amsterdan, Sao Paulo ,Rio de Janeiro, British Columbia , Tokyo ,Taipei and Bonn. Artworks in Collections: Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch , Western Assset Management My creative process starts with my drawings, without looking for a reason, with an empty mind, just doodling, drawing what comes from inside me, something a little Jungian, I always liked philosophy and psychology. Since I was a child, I drew and liked to create things with the aluminum that came in this milk packaging. I can't say what my sculptures mean, although some people see people, couples having sex, the bottom of the sea, etc, so even though I hardly put a title, the title belongs to each one. .
