When I painted this piece I did it with water up to my knees during the most recent hurricane Helene. At the time I got carried away by the chaos and desperation of the couple of hours that preceded the destruction of my workshop and home. There I was thinking something good came out of this situation.

With a foundation rooted in arts and design, acquired during his studies for almost a decade in the United Kingdom, Joneto has honed his craft as both a painter and sculptor, leaving an indelible mark on the contemporary art scene. Joneto's artistic journey has been a testament to resilience and creativity, born from humble beginnings in a challenging environment. His experiences growing up in Cuba have significantly influenced his artistic vision, shaping the themes and narratives that permeate his work. Through his evocative and visually striking pop art collection titled "Joneto," he sheds light on the harrowing experiences of children affected by conflict. With every stroke of his brush, he captures their resilience, dreams, and the enduring human spirit in the face of adversity. Influenced by the renowned sculptor and artist Lynn Chadwick, Joneto's art seamlessly blends the organic and the abstract, inviting viewers to explore the interplay between form and emotion.
