Gian Marco Lamuraglia was born in Geneva on January 6, 1966. At the age of 8 he moved with his family to Florence where he lives today. In the 1980s, he began his work experience in the construction industry, where he confirmed his company, "Lamuraglia Restauri". From a small point of view, he has shown interest in design and manual work. The beginnings of the artistic journey began in 1992 with the first paintings (signed by Abel) experimenting with various techniques until reaching the 2000s with the beginning of the use of recycled materials with the tendency to invade more and more space until the realization of the First sculpture in 2002. His sculptures and installations made of old iron, lumber, ropes, various materials and in some cases organic materials are assemblies of recovered materials often coming from building demolitions or inspections in dumps, scrap yards and robustachs. His works often take the form of animals, big beasts or fantasy beings. He participated in the first edition of the Art-On International Art Public Festival In Cascina -Pi- Italy Winning the first prize with the work "Angelo alla Caduti per la Libertà". He has recently made a collection of statuettes that he has modified and revised. There are about 35 works that make up the "New Renaissance" collection.
