ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Walking my dogs at night under a full moon. The sculpture is sandcast in solid bronze and rotates on a trapezoid base. The lunar crescents are in alternate positions on each side of the sculpture. One crescent is finished with pulverised metal leaf and the other with a translucent patination. Natural bronze is exposed ion some highlights of the circular aperture. The composite trapezoid base comprises slate dust, marble chips and blue glass bound by resin.
