ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a tall wood sculpture carved from very bright wood. The most work is done by hand in a long working process. The title is a little bit inspired by chess pieces. The organi dynamical shape is very complex. Also if it isn't a figurative sculpture for me important is that it seems to have life iinside. But everyone can immagine somthing other. Also important for me is to use natural materials like this wood. I took it by myself from a fallen tree not far away from my home. The sculpture is fixed on white-grey piece of marble. The wood is very hard and so the sculpture is heavy.

First I wanted to become a scientist but than I studied fine arts. I'm working as a sculpor and painter but sometimes there are also land-art projects. I'm teaching at a small artschool for young people at Donaueschingen. My artworks seems to be abstract, but there is a inspirition from nature. I'm often on the way observing their colors and shapes Also mathematics and music plays an important role. Sometimes I use wood and stones to make improvised music.
