About The Artwork
The piece is inspired by the Nike of Somatrace, the Winged Victory. The use of wood denotes lightness and is also an allusion also to Icarus. The idea is of the wind and the robes flowing through the piece already this is why the sculpture is lighter on the bottom to give the impression of lift and lightness.
