ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have been bird watching for most of my life and the owl is one of the most elusive of all birds of prey. While visiting the Midwest, I caught a rare glimpse of an owl with the most expressive look in its face. This carving depicts the owl as it would appear while sitting in a tree watching the world go by. I enjoy selecting a base that showcases the bird in it's natural environment and highlights the colors and depth of its feathers.
